Design, technical and budget proposal for the renovation of an 30 sqm apartment

Initial meeting

Our first meeting with Christina took place in her 30sqm apartment in Glyfada. The apartment has openings on one side only and the initial layout included a space used as living room and bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and entrance hall with no windows. During our meeting, we recorded all the important details of the apartment, such as the wall dimensions, drainage and heating columns so that we could design our proposal precisely.

The proposal:

We noticed that the limited area of the apartment was not utilised in the best possible way, because the bathroom was in the middle of the apartment. We moved the bathroom to the former kitchen space at one end of the plan layout, in order to create a large common room for the rest of the uses: kitchen, bedroom, livingroom. 

As a space separator between the living room and the bedroom, we designed a floor to ceiling bookcase. We proposed a simple colour palette with white and light wood to make the space feel bigger. As a result we fitted everything in this small space, a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living room with corner sofa and spacious bedroom with a big wardrobe and desk space.

The technical description states in detail all the different tasks that will take place, the timetable of the renovation and the quality of materials so the owners have the flexibility to modify anything as they wish.

We include a detailed budget proposal for the project so that at any time the owners have full control over the finances, quantities, unit prices and individual costs per job.
