Design, renovation and decoration of an apartment in Glyfada

We first worked with Antonis some years ago, when we renovated his house in Lykavitos.
So, when he moved to Glyfada, he contacted us to visit his new house and propose solutions to upgrade the functionality and aesthetics.

Plan layout design

The 100 sqm apartment on the 2nd floor, located in the center of Glyfada, had a small living-dining room, three bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and WC.
Antonis essentially wanted a functional and aesthetic upgrade of his new flat and not a total renovation.
He wanted to maintain many of the existing features, such as the wooden studded floor and the solid wood kitchen.

So we focused more on the aesthetics with a decoration proposal for the living room and the kitchen and small plan layout changes to improve the apartment functionally.

We decided to join the third bedroom with the living room to create more space and place the dining room there.

We also enlarged the opening to the kitchen and installed a glass door so that there is visual communication with the living room but at the same time it can be separated when needed.

We painted the whole house and maintained the timber floor and filled it in where needed after the layout changes and the demolition of a wall.

We also created a storage composition next to the fireplace by adding built-in shelves in the existing recess of the wall.

Regarding the decoration, we undertook the furnishing of the living and dining room. Antonis wanted modern, chic furniture with slick natural materials and colors.

We chose the furniture from BoConcept where we really liked the Scandinavian approach that combines functionality with high aesthetics.

For the living room, we chose a gray corner sofa, combined with a dark oak coffee table with metallic black legs and a bright yellow armchair for a cheerful splash of color in the space.

For the dining room we chose a table in dark walnut with a black central leg with a sculptural shape. We chose swivel chairs with quilted velvet fabric in deep blue. In a similar tone of dark blue is the recliner sofa we chose for the entrance.

We added ceiling lights from Bright and Bo Concept to highlight the space and the furniture.

We completed the picture with curtains from Miko, where we chose the color gray and white to tie in harmoniously with the rest of the decoration and visually warm the spaces.

Antoni thank you again for trusting us with another renovation project.
We wish you all the best in your new home!
