Design and construction completion of an apartment in Agia Varvara
One of our clients introduced us to Matoula, so at our first meeting, she already had an idea about our company.
Her apartment was at the top floor of an 80’s building, which remained unfinished by the previous owners. She wanted to complete the project quickly, so she would be ready to welcome the new family member who was to arrive in a few months.
Matoula had encountered many difficulties trying to find the right company to work with, as some of the offers she received had unclear points, considering the cost or the timetable. The family wanted a functional apartment, with modern aesthetics and full use the 70 sqm. The former layout was old fashioned with the kitchen in a separate room away from the dining room and living room.
We suggested modernising the layout of the apartment. Initially, we separated the communal from the private spaces, proposing the union of the kitchen with the living-dining room, by exchanging the space of one of the bedrooms with the kitchen. We brought the kitchen in the front of the house and placed the second bedroom in the back with the big veranda. We also created a bigger bathroom and minimised the circulation space.
As the apartment would be completely transformed, we prepared 2D floor plans and 3D renderings to help the family understand our proposal and feel sure about it. Indeed, our presentation excited Matoula and George and helped them visualise their new home!
Due to the special original condition of the apartment, the renovation was extensive. In total, the following tasks were completed:
- New interior layout
- New electric and plumping network.
- Tiling on the rest of the floors of the apartment and on the balconies
- New timber floors in the bedrooms
- New window frames with double glazing and screens
- New Sanitary ware and furniture in the bathroom
- New Kitchen furniture
- Wardrobes for the bedrooms
- Radiators and boiler
- Interior doors
- Main security door
- Painting on all the walls and ceilings
