Design and complete renovation of an apartment in Pedion tou Areos
Dimitris and Marilena contacted us to discuss their kitchen renovation.
Their apartment had an area of 90 sq.m. and was located on the 2nd floor of an old apartment building in the center of Athens. They were expecting their first child in a few months, and felt a bit overwhelmed with the renovation process and the schedule.
During our meeting we began to discuss the changes that need to be done for the kitchen renovation, and then it emerged that the bathrooms need renovation as well. And then, since they were growing as a family a third room was also important to them. Following that, they realised that a second small toilet would be very useful.
At the end of the meeting we decided that we need to prepare a design proposal for the whole house to be renovated from scratch. We started working on the new floor plan. Marilena was 6 months pregnant and everything had to be done on a schedule that would make them feel calm and where it would give them time to settle into their home, before the baby’s arrival.
We agreed on the budget, and the final design and set the schedule. Their new home was to be delivered in 6 weeks.
At the same time as our crew started work on the apartment, we chose together all the materials for their new home. The owners had excellent taste and all their choices were harmonious and modern.
So within 6 weeks, we completed the following:
-a new bedroom and a new WC were created
-the entire electrical and plumbing infrastructure of the house was changed
-a new timber floor was installed throughout the house
-the kitchen was completely renovated
– the existing bathroom was enlarged and built from scratch
– new wardrobes were installed in all the rooms
-new interior doors as well as a new main door were installed.
The house was delivered on time.
