Design and renovation of an apartment in Kallithea
We met Ada at her late mom’s home. She was planning to renovate it for her daughter and her family. The apartment had two bedrooms, a big living and dining area, entrance hall, kitchen, bathroom and storage space.
Georgia, Ada’s daughter, has two kids so needed three bedrooms. We created the third bedroom in the space of the former kitchen and moved the kitchen in the main living space. We opened up the entrance hall to the main living space and placed the dining room there. We created a WC in the small storage room and more storage in the corridor where we also placed the washing machine.
In more detail, the renovation included new:
- Layout and issued a minor works planning permission.
- Kitchen
- Bathroom
- WC
- Plumbing
- Electrics
- Window frames
- Floor tiles
- Maintenance of existing timber floors
In terms of the aesthetics of the home, we chose white, gray and earthy (wood) elements which form a timeless decoration canvas.
During the project we were very happy to see the smiling faces of friends and relatives who passed by, and were delighted with the changes. Most importantly Georgia, George and their 2 children loved their new home from the first moment!
